The Bottleworks architecture celebrates the past whilst seeking to contribute to the established residential character of its surrounds. The result is a layered contemporary design featuring the asymmetrical geometry of the iconic sheds that grew to cover the site from 1938.
The Bottleworks comprises a collection of considered townhomes and apartments. Generous private, open space is provided for each new home, along with a landscaped communal garden and meeting space at the heart of the site.
Architecture.
The original double storey factory will retain its distinctive form. The wide eves and hipped roof, with timber and corrugated iron detail lend both character and rustic charm to each new apartment. The façade design reinforces the original proportions of the historic building, resulting in apartments with stunningly high ceilings.
Interiors.
Tactile, durable materials have been chosen to serve as a subtle backdrop to each new owner’s personal style. Careful attention to the layout has resulted in spaces that are both functional and delightful.
