June 2021

Following several months of extensive internal works to shore up and protect the 1920’s glassworks structure, locally-based contractor Salvage Centre have commenced careful removal, recycling, and demolition works across the site.

These works will continue across the next month with the exterior walls expected to be removed towards the end of July 2021.

In parallel with protection and demolition works, the Hygge Property team have been working closely with the City of Greater Geelong to obtain final approvals to allow for commencement works to prepare and subdivide sites for our architecturally-designed townhomes and apartments.

These works include establishment of services - sewer, water, drainage, electricity, and communications - as well as extensive works around homesites including reconstruction of the laneway and drainage in surrounding streets, internal driveway, footpaths around the site including new kerbs and kerb outstands, and street trees.
